While I have some major pros and cons to address about this toy — one thing we can definitely all agree on is that it’s a classic.
When Magic Wand offered to send me their original plug-in model, I was super excited. I’ve only used a Magic Wand once, and it was an experience to remember — so I anxiously awaited this box’s arrival.

How to Use the Magic Wand Original
Having my first experience with this toy be with a partner using it on my body (I never actually operated or held the wand), I can say with certainty that I prefer having it used on me vs. using it on myself.
You can use this wand in SO many different ways that it’s almost overwhelming. That, in combination with the intensity of the sensations, is almost too much to receive and give to oneself at the same time!
I definitely struggled to find the best angle that still allowed me to enjoy the side vibrations.
PSA: For both hygiene, clean-up ease, and health, try putting a condom over the head of the magic wand. Trust me!
Who May Enjoy This Toy, Sensations of The Magic Wand
You can use this toy by itself, with vaginal penetration, with anal penetration, or all of the above. It is incredibly versatile and can be used solo or with someone else.
This is a staple in a sex toy collection, but is not for the beginner user — unless you have a partner to help you. I think this is best used with a partner (of course, you can use it by yourself!!!), You simply need some seriously powerful grinding force, or use it with mounting furniture, like from Liberator. The sensations are intense. I could feel the vibration through my whole pelvis.

Pros
- Versatility. The fact that this can be used to massage my back and make me come is basically the biggest pro possible.. so that’s number one.
- Has many add-on options to customize it to your needs.
- Durable and long-standing positive brand reputation
Cons
- The cord is limiting, especially if you’re playing with a partner
- It’s SO intense. I can’t overstate the intensity.
- Because there are so many uses, I can’t recommend this for new users
